Visual symbols

As exemplified in the map, certain images were usually repeated in the groups. Also, some memories were similarly commented by various participants. Kids playing in the devastated London, rats of the post war London, celebrities such as John Lennon, or even foods such as Mash and Pie.

After thinking about these materials, I started seeing those images as generational symbols. The Facebook communities could be a vehicle for the reproduction of those symbols, as well as possibly for the creation of new ones.
